A GLOBAL BRAND WITH A GLOBAL VISION

As one of the world’s leading food and beverage brands, PepsiCo have a significant role to play in changing the way society makes, uses and disposes of plastics. 

As their Creative Transformation Partner, Nomads was tasked with to helping them achieve their vision of “A world where plastic need never become waste” - making sustainable plastics a reality for a better planet and a brighter future.

A TRANSFORMATIVE PLATFORM

Our strategic approach resulted in the development of ‘Live On’ : an overarching sustainability platform that would serve as the home of all PepsiCo’s sustainability initiatives in the AMENA region over the next 3 years. The development of Live On was accompanied by a 3 year strategic roadmap for its rollout, which serves as the guide for all communication in the coming years.

Not only did we develop Live On as a platform, but we also developed the first piece of consumer education collateral – a digital campaign that educated consumers on the importance of recycling as a first step towards a healthier and happier planet. 

SUSTAINABILITY STARTS WITH STANDING OUT

To stand out in the serious world of sustainability, we took a more light hearted approach to the subject. Instead of using the familiar scare tactics and fear mongering that have become commonplace around the subject, we focused on the positive aspect of recycling and doing good for the planet. We wanted to show people that when you do good, you feel good. 

A CAMPAIGN THAT FELT AND DID GOOD

We created a film that ran on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram that demonstrated how recycling plastic can make you feel good. We also created a series of social media posts and stories featuring infographics that educated consumers on various aspects of recycling, such as the importance of home segregation and the positive impact of thier actions.

A BORDERLESS SOLUTION

The Live On platform and campaign was so well received that it gained the interest and support of the UAE government and was endorsed by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. Several of PepsiCo’s other markets, including Australia and parts of Africa, picked up the platform and intend to roll it out as their own sustainability platform going forward.
